Managing Director

What led you to the A/E/C industry?
Serendipity! I have always enjoyed architecture but gravitated more toward economics, finance, and public policy. This combination led me to this niche of public finance, once reserved for civil engineers and similar folks in the larger A/E/C world.
Why did you join SMPS and/or why do you continue to be a member?
Many moons ago, I was introduced to SMPS and attended an annual conference. I really enjoyed, and still do enjoy, the group's positive energy.
Least favorite job task?
Filling out a timesheet.
Do you work from home, in the office, or a hybrid?
I am mostly back in the office, where focus is better.
Favorite TV show?
My favorite shows over the past few years have been comedies like Black-ish, Modern Family and, of course, the very high-brow Simpson’s…
Favorite movie?
The goofy, laugh-out-loud Undercover Brother was a fav for many moons.
Favorite local restaurant?
Tu Lan in San Francisco.
Favorite local spot?
One of my fav local spots these days is the new Crane Cove Park in San Francisco, along the Bay near the Chase Center. It’s magic.
Vacation spot you recommend?
Backpacking in the Eastern Sierras.
What I like to do most in my free time…..
I am addicted to snow skiing, and go any chance I get!
