3ROOTs FITNESS AND RECREATION CENTER
2023 Gold Nugget Merit Award, Best Community Amenity
As the social and cultural heart of the 3Roots master-planned community, the Fit & Rec Center offers a welcoming presence that celebrates health, wellness, and connectivity for all residents. The facility features indoor and outdoor community gathering areas, locker rooms, barbeque court, and adjoining multipool facilities. The FIT Athletic partnership brings its approach to complete mind and body wellness to the residents with personal training, group fitness, and social events. 3Roots. 2023 The Nationals Silver Award, Best Community Amenity, Structure.

Arranged in a village of multiple smaller buildings—five residential, one community, and one office—Avance blends into the existing neighborhood of single-family homes while offering 44 units in a mix of studios and one-bedrooms. The historic house onsite was renovated, creating additional conference rooms and offices on the first floor and transforming the second floor into a residence for the property manager.
A combined for-rent townhome and accessory dwelling unit (ADU), The Picket Fence concept home will use a modern method of off-site construction called volumetric modular, which consistently delivers higher quality homes at a faster pace while reducing environmental impact of construction waste. The concept home's goal is to physically demonstrate a higher level of livability, constructability, and sustainability than seen in other new construction homes, with three specific identified goals: reduce the carbon footprint of the home by 70% and reduce construction waste by at least 90% both compared to an equivalent site-built home; and build a higher-performance home with healthier controlled indoor environments.

How long has DAHLIN been a sponsor of SMPS?
DAHLIN has been a member of SMPS for many years, but this is the fifth year our firm has been a sponsor. We are full supporters of the organization, and we love engaging with our local chapter. SMPS allows our business development and marketing team to stay on top of industry trends through their educational resources and programs. Plus, it provides opportunities to interact with other industry advocates of all levels and collaborate with a variety of other wonderful A/E/C firms.
What are some of the memorable or key events of SMPS that DAHLIN has been involved with?
The Annual Topaz Awards Program! Our team works diligently to promote our firm through technical awards programs, so we appreciate the opportunity to share the work our marketing team accomplishes and be recognized for it.
In 2022, we were honored to receive an Award of Excellence for our Party in Box in the Special Event category and an Award of Merit for What Does Home Mean to You? in the Holiday category.
In 2023, we were thrilled to receive an Award of Excellence for our Annual Company Meeting in the Special Event category, and we are looking forward to submitting and attending again for this year’s program in June.
