Hello Members!
As we enter the nation’s busiest travel month, I have no doubt you are surfing the waves of summer's busy schedule with finesse and style. Amid the hustle and bustle, SMPS is here to keep you connected and inspired. We've got a fantastic lineup of events coming up that you won't want to miss, so join us for some learning, networking, and fun.
Starting on the education front, on July 17 we dive into the business development domain with Steve Gavatorta presenting Are You a Consultant or a Vendor? Steve will illustrate how being an effective problem solver and solution provider in a world of constant disruption can provide a true competitive advantage and determine the long-term success of any individual and company. Next month, we’ll welcome Anne Ricketts to present Start Strong! Begin Your Meetings With Clarity, where she’ll share tips and techniques to enhance collaboration, trust, and productivity in meetings. Both of these programs are offered virtually and with recordings, perfect for busy marketers seeking to fit continuing education into an unpredictable schedule.
The signature SMPS education event of the year is also taking place this month, as Amplify AEC heads to Salt Lake City July 24–26. If you’re attending, let us know: we’re seeking members interested in sharing some of your favorite insights and takeaways from the conference in an upcoming Market Share!
Do you have an idea for a future education program? Is there a marketing, business development, or leadership topic that is near and dear to your professional heart? We want to hear from you! Come join a special creative collaboration session hosted by our Programs Committee on July 31. We're putting member value at the top of the agenda, and we need your input to craft programs that will supercharge your success.

Regional Events: We’re excited to announce our third series of regional member meetups hosted all around the Bay Area—San Francisco, East Bay, North Bay, South Bay, and Tri-Valley. These meetups will offer members the chance to connect while sharing fun outdoor activities in each community.

Volunteer Appreciation (July 18): We’re hosting an exclusive appreciation event for our Chapter volunteers, whose passion and commitment make everything we do possible. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication!

Annual Chapter Celebration (August 22): Join us to celebrate our members, meet the incoming Board of Directors, and hear what’s in store for SMPS SFBAC in the year ahead.
