A Leadership Update from the SMPS SFBAC Board

Dear SMPS SFBAC Members,

I am writing to share an important update regarding our Chapter’s leadership. Due to unforeseen changes in her personal circumstances, Kate Blocker made the difficult decision to step down from her role as President-Elect. We are incredibly grateful for Kate’s dedication and contributions to our chapter, and we fully support her in this next phase of her journey.

With this transition, I am pleased to announce that Damion Martin of ACCO has been appointed as our new President-Elect.

Many of you already know Damion through his faithful service as our San Francisco Business Leaders Forum Lead and as a dedicated mentor in our Mentoring Pathways program. Damion brings tremendous experience to the role, including over 15 years in our industry and 25 years working in marketing and communications. He is no stranger to association leadership, having spent over a decade with the DBIA Western Pacific Region, where he held vital roles including Golf Chair, Bay Chapter Chair, member of the programs and PR committees, and regional Board Director.

Damion is eager to step into this position to help advance our field and advocate for our members. Please join me in extending a warm welcome to Damion in his new role, and in sending our best wishes to Kate.
