SMPS SFBAC 2019 Holiday Party Recap: Fun, Festivity, and Giving

Our chapter knows how to celebrate—and the newly re-opened Tribune Tavern in Oakland did not disappoint! It was a wonderful evening filled with camaraderie, delicious food, festive drinks, networking, and the spirit of giving.

In fact, many attendees walked out with prizes, including $100 gift cards, wine, a headshot session, and a wellness kit! Over $1,000 was raised for Designing Justice + Designing Spaces, an Oakland-based architecture and real estate development non-profit working to end mass incarceration by building infrastructure that attacks its root causes: poverty, racism, unequal access to resources, and the criminal justice system itself.

“We had such a generous group at the party—they really embodied the holiday spirit. I’m so proud we were able to raise some funds for such a worthy cause and have a wonderful time to boot!” Chapter President Susie Smith shared.
