He was also the founder and CEO of Emporium Technologies, a marketplace platform for connecting students. Ray studied electrical engineering and computer science at MIT. During his time there, he co-founded the MIT Tech Fair (now known as TechX), an annual science and technology expo that is one of the largest student-run organizations on campus. He also currently serves on the board of Wu Yee Children’s Services in San Francisco. Ray’s favorite hobbies include playing basketball and singing karaoke.

Dr. Lillie Luu Nguyen, DCN, CNS, LDN, Gut Compass Nutrition

Lillie is a licensed and a board certified nutrition specialist (CNS) and founder of Gut Compass Nutrition, Inc. After starting her schooling and career at UCLA, she went on to earn her masters and doctorate’s degree in Clinical Nutrition from Maryland University of Integrative Health. She now has a private practice in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she offers in-person and telehealth nutrition consultations, is a clinical liaison for Vibrant America, and is part of the teaching staff at University of Western States.

Lillie uses evidence-based research alongside her practice experience to help you achieve optimal health and wellness. Instead of fad diets that act as a temporary band-aid, Lillie would rather work with you to find the root cause of your symptoms to achieve the long-lasting results you’re after. By working with her, you’ll get access to professional grade supplements at a discount and specialty lab tests such as stool, food sensitivity, hormone, and more! Most importantly, she strongly believes that food should not only do good for the mind and body, but taste good as well!

Janel Hathaway, Yoga Instructor, Yoga Flow SF

Everyone has their own journey with their practice. Janel came to yoga in search of a sustainable form of fitness. Coming from a high impact sport, gymnastics, she knows how important it is to cultivate a balanced presence both mentally and physically. For Janel, yoga opened up a direct path to listen to her body in a way she hadn’t previously known. After practicing for a few months, she was surprised by how much her body was telling her that she had not noticed before. Yoga not only opened the door to a more spiritual and mindful way of being in her body, but also opened the door to a wider, supportive community grounded in this beautiful shared practice. Now, Janel looks forward to sharing the benefits of this practice with as many people as she can.
